Dear Students and Parents,
Due to circumstances we are all too familiar with, the College Board has decided to modify the AP Exams this year, rather than cancel them. They will modify the format, reduce the time to 45 minutes and make it available for at-home, online testing. They are also reducing the amount of content on the test (the amount of *history* to be tested). What this means is that we have already completed the material that is meant to be tested and we will NOW begin our review. Further, the College Board seems to be eliminating multiple choice questions for this year’s exam and will focus on written responses. Commensurately, our review will focus on the early parts of the course and writing skills. For my classes this will be conducted through Canvas and, potentially, AP Classroom (a platform we have not yet used). Please look for updates from me next week on Skyward and Canvas as to how we will proceed with the content review and continue with writing instruction. Thank you for your patience and flexibility. I do believe this is a good development and will serve our students well under these trying circumstances. I have included the link to the College Board announcement below.

Attention Regarding School Closure!!!
Hello students,
For the foreseeable future this class will be conducted online. All new assignments will be on 4th quarter grade starting with the Chapter 26 Reading Guide and Quiz from AMSCO which was officially due today. I am extending that deadline to Wednesday March 18th. You will submit your reading guide (scans or photos of it OR typed up answers if you really want to) through Canvas. You will take the Chapter 26 Quiz on Canvas but you you will need your textbook to do so. I will not be posting the quiz on canvas, just a spot for your answers. Videos will be similar to what we do in class. I will only assign videos that are available on YouTube. The video guide will be right there in the assignment for you to download, fill out as you watch the video and then upload to me through Canvas when you are done. If you have any problems or concerns, please email me and we can work it out.
Regarding 3rd quarter grades. There will be NO new assignments added to 3rd quarter. If you have any make up work completed for 3rd quarter but not turned in, take a photo of each page and email it directly to my school email. I am extending your 3rd quarter grade cutoff to Thursday March 26th at 3 PM. DO NOT bring work to the school, I will be working remotely after Tuesday March 17th. All submissions must be through my school email (for 3rd quarter make up) or Canvas for all new/4th Quarter assignment. Good luck and don't hesitate to contact me via email as needed.
